Karin and Bill DiLuigi co-authored a songwriting book earlier this year which is receiving high acclaim from music industry professionals all over the world. The book, A Monkey Manual for Songwriters, is a spin off their “Monkey in a Round” writer’s nights and is what the two use to teach songwriting workshops around the globe.

Karin took a nice long weekend trip down to Pensacola Beach Florida to perform in the first annual Pensacola Beach Songwriter’s Festival with good friends and talented musicians: Gary Talley, Tom Roady, Jay Brown and John Nanni.

Of course four days in the sun led to making plans for the “Ain’t Nothing Blue But the Water Tour”!

Karin hosted a songwriters’ retreat in Frisco, Colorado August 10- 15 2009. The retreat was attended by local and out of town writers and was supported by both Denver and Boulder NSAI chapters. The week was a wonderful success and Karin is already making plans for next year.

Karin kicked off the new year by traveling to Australia as part of the JAWS 2009 team teaching songwriting and performing. She was joined by world renowned vocal coach Renee Grant-Williams, Grammy-nominated Box Top member Gary Talley and award winning songwriter Bill DiLuigi for the 6 week tour. The Trip was such a huge success that that the team is already planning the JAWS 2010 tour in Australia once again!
